Shri. Duddilla Sridhar

President, Badminton Association of Telangana (BAT) & President, Telangana Badminton Association of Peddapalli District.

Shri. Duddilla Sridhar is a member of the Telangana Assembly from Manthani Constituency, Peddapalli district. He is a senior Minister in the Telangana Government holding the crucial portfolios of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Industry & Commerce and Legislative Affairs. He was the Minister for Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology, and Legislative Affairs in the United Government of Andhra Pradesh prior to the state being divided. A keen cricketer as a student — he represented Nizam College and the University of Hyderabad. He is an ardent follower of all sports.

Shri. Y Upender Rao

Senior Vice President, BAT & General Secretary, Karimnagar District Badminton Association.

Shri. Upender Rao comes with rich administrative experience in the sport of badminton. He plays a key role in providing guidance to the activities of BAT.

Shri. V Chamundeswara Nath

Vice President, BAT & President, Badminton Association of Hyderabad (BAH).

Shri. Chamundeswara Nath is a well known sportsperson in Telangana. He is known for his versatility across multiple sports like Cricket, Badminton, Tennis etc. He has the distinction of captaining Andhra Ranji Cricket team from 1988 to 1992. He was the Junior Selection Committee, BCCI, Member & Chairman from 2001 to 2007 and Secretary of Andhra Cricket Association from 2007 to 2009. Shri. Nath was also the manager for the T20 Cricket World Cup 2009 in London and is presently a member of the IPL Governing Council from 2023. He was also the Vice President for the Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association (APBA) before bifurcation.

Shri. A Rama Rao

Vice President, BAT & President, Suryapeta District Badminton Association.

A doctor by profession, Shri. Rama Rao was instrumental in developing badminton in the Nalgonda district being its President from the past 25 years before the district has been divided. His idea was not only to play badminton, but with the sole aim of developing good players in the region in the future. He organized many District and State level badminton tournaments at his own expense. He was also instrumental in the construction of a national-level indoor stadium at Kodad to achieve a long-cherished goal.

Shri. G Venkat Rao

Vice President, BAT & Chairman, Khammam District Badminton Association (KDBA).

Shri. Venkat Rao is currently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) at Telangana Police Academy from 2021. Comes with extensive experience in the Police department and was recognized several times such as, Sevapathakam, 2005, Utthama Sevapathakam, 2010, Mahonnatha Sevapathakam, 2019, Indian Police Medal, 2020 etc. for his Service excellence. He also participated in National Police Badminton Championships and won several Medals in 50+ & 55+ category, Singles and Doubles over the years and recently won the State Police Gold Medal in 55+ singles in 2025.

Shri. P Ramesh Reddy

Vice President, BAT & General Secretary, Badminton Association of Warangal.

Shri. Ramesh Reddy is working as a professor of Physical Education & Administrative officer, at KITSW, Warangal. After standing as topper in M.P.Ed, Sports Medicine (Athletics), Nagpur University in 1985 and also in NIS (Athletics),SAI, Gandhi Nagar in 1991, Mr. Reddy secured Ph.D. in Training Methods, Test and Measurement from REC, Warangal in 2003. Won several accolades as Best Athlete in many university games and represented AP State Sepaktakraw team in 1985 Nationals, as captain. He has been serving the sport of badminton in various capacities in the district and has been organizing many Inter Collegiate and State Level tournaments from the past 26 years.

Shri. Pullela Gopichand

General Secretary, BAT, Vice President, BAI & Chief National Coach for Indian Badminton Team.

Shri. Gopichand is a renowned badminton player, who brought laurels to the sport across the country. An All England Champion and only the second Indian to win the championship, he received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award (highest sporting honor in India) in 2001, the Padma Shri in 2005, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan (India's third highest civilian award) in 2014. He is the only Indian coach to win the "Honorable Mention" by the International Olympic Committee at the 2019 Coaches Lifetime Achievement Awards. He was the Indian National Badminton Champion continuously for 5 years in a row from 1996. He also won several International medals including Commonwealth Games and Asian Championships. As a coach he is instrumental in grooming and coaching several players, who have achieved medals in the International stage, such as Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth, P.V.Sindhu, P.Kashyap, B.Sai Praneeth, H.S.Prannoy, Ashwini Ponnappa, Satwiksairaj & Chirag Shetty to name a few.

Shri. Kanuri Vamsidhar

Treasurer, BAT & General Secretary, Badminton Association of Hyderabad (BAH).

Shri. Vamsidhar comes with experience of handling multiple state / national level badminton events. He always strives to bring excellence and a systematic approach in the way Badminton Association of Telangana operates.

Shri. L Ravi Kumar

Joint Secretary, BAT & General Secretary, Mahabubanagar District Badminton Association.

Shri. Ravi Kumar comes with a rich experience of serving the sport in Telangana. Associated in various positions for over 29 years in badminton, he is an avid follower and supporter of the game. He is a strong believer of spreading the sport to every corner of the district/state and to get the best talent to the forefront.

Shri. P Manoj Kumar

Joint Secretary, BAT & Treasurer, Medak District Badminton Association (MDBA).

Shri. Manoj Kumar presently working as Public Relationship Officer in SBI, Koti Branch, Hyderabad. He was a former National No 1 and won many national tournaments both at the Junior and Senior level. He was also a former International badminton player and was the first player from Telangana to participate in International tournaments such as All England Championship, French Open, Russian International, Nepal International tournaments and won medals. Shri. Manoj has accompanied many state and national players / team as coach in multiple tournaments over the years.

Shri. M Jithender Reddy

Joint Secretary, BAT and President, Mahahubabad District Amateur Badminton Association.

Shri. Jithender Reddy is presently Assistant Commissioner of Police at Special Branch in Warangal Commissionerate. He has received multiple Police Awards such as Seva Pathakam, Utthama Seva Pathakam, Mahonnatha Seva Pathakam and also the 'Union Home Minister's Medal for excellence in Investigation' in 2023. He also holds a Ph.D in psychology from S.V. University. He is a badminton enthusiast and won multiple awards in the police department badminton Championships and was a 3 time Police department badminton state champion.

Shri. U V N Babu

Member, Telangana Olympic Association, Joint Secretary(Events & Protocol), BAT & General Secretary, Badminton Association of Vikarabad District.

Shri. Babu is extremely passionate towards the game of badminton and is energetic and a great motivator & supporter for all badminton enthusiasts. Enjoys helping people and takes up social work as a hobby.

Shri. Kosaraju Lakshman

Advisor, Badminton Association of Telangana & President, Badminton Association of Vikarabad District.

Mr. Lakshman is a passionate and experienced badminton player and sports administrator with a track record of representing India at international tournaments and holding leadership roles in badminton associations. He strives to leverage his expertise in player development, tournament organization, and sports management. He has played badminton for nearly 35 years, representing the state and country in numerous tournaments. Represented the state in volleyball nationals twice (1981, 1982). Also represented in athletics to the school state level.

Shri. P. C. S. Rao

Executive Member, BAT & General Secretary, Medak District Badminton Association (MDBA).

Shri. Rao is a veteran in the sport of Badminton who has been a player and also served in various adminstrative positions from the past 6 decades. He has dedicated his life for the sport and has worked relentlessly in every area of the game. Extremely enthusiastic to promote the game, help players and to be associated with the game in every aspect even today at an age of over 80 years.

Shri. P Ram Mohan Rao

Executive Member, BAT & General Secretary, Jagtial District Badminton Association.

Shri. Ram Mohan Rao is presently working as an Assistant Divisional Engineer (TGNPDCL). He is a badminton enthusiast and has the distinction of being a Singles Champion in the Electricity Board State tournament 15 times from 1996. He also played All India Electricity board Nationals representing Andhra Pradesh team and secured 3rd place at Nagpur in 2010. Shri. Rao has also won gold in 50+ doubles category in the State level in 2019 and has played a key role in conducting coaching camp for children at Karimnagar in 2011.

Shri. T Ranga Rao

Executive Member, BAT & General Secretary, Suryapeta District Badminton Association.

Shri. Ranga Rao has served Nalgonda District Badminton Association as it's General Secretary for the last 25 years. He is known to be an avid badminton player and played a key role in upbringing many players with a noble thought of contributing to the sport. He was also instrumental in conducted several district / state level badminton tournaments and inturn taken the sport to everyone, thereby creating awareness and interest among several individuals.

Shri. A.N Suri

Executive Member, BAT & Senior Vice President, Ranga Reddy District Badminton Association (RRDBA).

Shri. Suri comes with deep industry experience, serving as Executive Director at Electroflo Batteries Pvt Ltd. and has taken up several management level roles at other larger organizations as well in the past. He is a badminton lover and known to be a very affectionate person in the badminton circle. Shri. Suri has served as Joint Secretary and Vice President from 2003 to 2018 and also as the General Secretary from 2018 to 2022 for RRDBA.

Shri. K Sreenivasa Rao

Executive Member, BAT, Secretary Technical Officials Committee, BAT & General Secretary, Ranga Reddy District Badminton Association (RRDBA).

Shri. Sreenivasa Rao is extremely passionate towards badminton and is serving the sport from the past 25 years. He has organized several District and State Level tournaments with Discipline and Dedication. He has also served as Organizing Secretary for Two National Ranking Tournaments.

Shri. P Sudhakar

Executive Member, BAT & General Secretary, Star Mancherial District Badminton Association.

Shri. Sudhakar has served in multiple roles earlier as General Secretary, Adilabad District Badminton Association from 2018 and has been sent as a manager for Telangana State Badminton Teams in various National Tournaments from 2018 to 2024. He also successfully organised Under 15, 17, 19, Men and Women State Level Tournaments and many district tournaments in mancherial District and is a big supporter to all the players representing Mancherial district.

Smt. K Naga Veni

Executive Member, BAT & Treasurer, Badminton Association of Hyderabad (BAH).

Smt. Naga Veni is a former state level athlete with a strong foundation in discipline and dedication from a young age. She continues her passion for sports as a regular badminton player and a member of BAT. Recently, she pushed her limits by successfully completing a half marathon in Antarctica, showcasing her endurance and adventurous spirit. She also supports the sporting community by sponsoring promising badminton players.

Shri. PVL Kumar

Office Secretary, BAT

Mr. Kumar has been an active member of BAT for a long time. He has served various positions, been part of various tournaments organized by BAT and BAI. Kumar is a member of technical officials committee of BAT, qualified referee and qualified match controller.

Shri. A Venkata Ramana Reddy

Media Coordinator, BAT and Member, Badminton Association of Vikarabad District

Mr. Reddy comes with a deep passion for sports, especially Badminton. He takes great interest in collecting and documenting the achievements and setbacks of sportspersons, and bringing their stories to light through journalism. Mr. Reddy completed his degree in Journalism. His aim is to support and stand by the athletes and sportspersons through his work.
